Digital Tools for Alloy Development 

 

Additive manufacturing presents new alloying opportunities. Conventional alloys are not necessarily ideal. We provide online tools for selecting alloys for additive manufacturing by laser powder bed fusion. 

 

Computational thermodynamics and kinetics are well established tools for alloy development of metallic materials. Expert users of the CALPHAD technique may need to check the details of the databases, and sometimes make amendements. We provide databases for download that can be used for such purposes:
